Michael and Tara Traw

Married in 1996, Michael & Tara Traw both knew that homeschooling and a large family would be a part of their future. 15 years later they are living their “dream” of homeschooling their 6 children: 2 daughters and 4 sons, ages ranging from one to twelve. Michael & Tara met at the Air Force Academy and graduated in 1994 and spent 5 years active duty in Boston, MA. Once separated from military life in 1999, they moved to Austin, TX where Michael took his first “civilian” job and Tara committed herself to their 2 newly born daughters. They moved to the Kansas City Metro Area in 2003 and have enjoyed the Midwest’s “Family Friendly” culture and atmosphere. Michael now works with a software company as the account director for several large KC based companies. The scripture verse for this period in their lives comes from Romans 5:2-4 “through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”
