How to Homeschool: Beginning the Journey

Beginning any endeavor well is a key to long-term success. Let Rose Gerringer help you set expectations, meet legal requirements, tailor curriculum, and choose philosophies for your unique family. You will leave with resources and confidence to begin or continue your home school journey.

Rose has five children ages 22 to 10 and is beginning her 17th year as a home educator.

Teaching Character to All Kinds of Characters!

After over 25 years of homeschooling, Barb Akridge will share her journey…the joys and sorrows, the victories and frustrations, the on-going challenges and rewards of teaching character to her five characters!

Records & Scheduling

How do I organize my day with schoolwork for more than one child? Is there time for household chores? What records do homeschoolers need to keep? What should I do with the kids’ papers? Is there a way to make my house “homeschool friendly”? Kathy Roggow homeschooled her three young adults K-12. Her ideas may encourage you to come up with solutions that will work for you.

All parents interested in homeschooling are welcome to attend. There is no need to register. There will be time for questions and answers afterwards. Come, learn and be encouraged by these experienced homeschooling veterans as they share about homeschooling from personal experience.

Due to lack of space, no childcare is available, so please make alternative arrangements for children younger than 13 years.

Please park in the west parking lot behind the Shell station.
