The Classic Learning Test (CLT) is based on the classical education approach and is only 2 hours long, can be proctored at home and online, and opens up unique awards and scholarship opportunities.\n\nMore than 200 colleges have formally adopted this test as a viable alternative to taking the SAT/ACT. (HSLDA’s Patrick Henry College is one of them.)\n\nWe’ve partnered with Classic Learning Initiatives to offer in-group, discounted testing opportunities to homeschool families.\n\nCheck out our members-only login page to get your unique discount code, which offers your family 25% off any of the CLT assessments!\n \n\n1. CLT\n“The CLT is an online college entrance exam designed for 11th and 12th graders. This exam is remote proctored and taken at the student’s home. The CLT takes approximately two hours to complete, and it assesses English, mathematical, and critical reasoning skills. Students receive their scores within two weeks, and they can instantly share them with an unlimited number of colleges and universities for free.”\nLearn more about the CLT here.\n\n2. CLT10\n\n“The CLT10 is an online preparatory exam for the CLT designed for 9th and 10th graders. It can be proctored by a parent at home or taken in-school at participating institutions. The test takes approximately two hours to complete, and it assesses English, mathematical, and critical reasoning skills. There is also an optional, ungraded, thirty-minute essay portion. Students receive their scores the Tuesday following the exam and can share them with an unlimited number of colleges and universities for free. The CLT10 provides students with the opportunity for recognition and, for top scorers, a scholarship to a CLT partner college.”\nLearn more about the CLT 10 here.\n\n3. CLT3-8\n \n\n“The CLT3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 are diagnostic or end-of-year assessments designed for 3rd through 8th graders. Incorporating classic children’s literature, fables, poetry, historical non-fiction, and more, CLT3-8 engage students with great ideas and reflect a holistic education. It can be proctored by a parent at home or taken in a group setting. The CLT3-6 tests are untimed, but they take approximately two hours to complete. The CLT7-8 take 2 hours and 15 minutes. They assess English, mathematical, and critical reasoning skills.”\nLearn more about the CLT3-8 here.\n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]\nMPE helps you DISCOVER ongoing resources\n\nOur CLT testing opportunities are just one of many ongoing resources for your homeschool family.
