Encouragement Day: ‘Fellowship with other homeschoolers’

2015 Encouragement Day welcome - #EncDay15

We’re so thankful for every person who attended our 2015 Women’s Encouragement Day! What a beautiful privilege to serve all you spectacular homeschool moms.

(This was the year for record attendance! We were filled to capacity and are so sad that there wasn’t enough space for the people on our waiting list. More about that in the comments…)

We also appreciate those who filled out evaluation forms to let us know how we’re doing. Enjoy these photos (more on our Facebook photo album) and wrap-up of the event, taken from your own words.

Encouragement Day speakers: Sara Hagerty and Sue Kawase

  • “Wonderful – exactly what I needed!”
  • “The truth and Word shared. Was so touched to be pampered and just sit and be ministered TO when I do so much ministering.”

Note: We have special links to Sara Hagerty’s Adoration Devotional that complements her book, “Every Bitter Thing Is Sweet,” as well as an updated “S-T-R-E-N-G-T-H-E-N” prayer guide handout.

Suggestions for next time?

  • “Just do it again like this – maybe in a bigger room…”

The limited space was a popular topic for suggested improvements in the evaluation forms. We’ve heard you loud and clear! Please keep us in your prayers as the Encouragement Day committee meets next week to review all your evaluations.

MPE subsidizes the cost of this event at $35 per person, because we want as many people as possible to attend. Please consider donating if you haven’t already … it’s always much appreciated!

This is a note from my 18 yr old daughter, who was not at the event Saturday. It is about something that happened today…
The LORD truly is amazing!! Today started out like you would expect a Monday to start. We were running late and needed to pick up breakfast from mcdonalds on our way out, but through a series of inconvenient circumstances we had to run inside instead of going through the drive-thru. We ordered and then the lady taking our order told mom she can pay with love if she gives her daughter a hug. We were very confused but we gave each other a hug and McDonald’s gave us our food for free! When we got back in the car we took a minute to look back at all the little things that were so inconvenient at the time and how God used all those things to bless us! Dwelling on all this as we hit the road, I’m just amazed at our awesome God and how He uses the little everyday inconveniences to show us that He is in control of everything! Even the bad things..Especially the bad things! He knew I needed that reminder and encouragement! God is good all the time. And all the time, GOD IS GOOD!!!

Sounds like God wanted to put an exclamation mark on all that was said Saturday. 🙂
