Q-and-A with Sarah Bryant (Joyful Daughters conference)

Sarah Bryant interview

Young ladies and mothers will be gathering in Kansas City for the next Joyful Daughters Conference on March 18-19. Sarah Bryant, the conference coordinator, is a homeschool graduate and shares more about the conference and its mission in this exclusive interview for MPE.

How did the Joyful Daughters conference come about?

Thank you for this opportunity to share! We have published “The King’s Blooming Rose” Magazine for ten years, and last year when we approached its 10-year anniversary, we decided to host an event to encourage young ladies and mothers in their walks with Jesus.

At the 2015 Joyful Daughters conference, speakers spoke on many helpful topics including surrender, contentment, loving and praying for our family, purity, and handling technology wisely.

This year we are planning the second Joyful Daughters conference and you’re invited to join us on March 18-19, 2016!

What have you found to be the most rewarding experience when coordinating events like this one?

It is incredible to see God’s hand at work in the lives of young ladies who are hungry to hear His Word. Seeing their hearts and love for Jesus is truly inspiring!

Has coordinating this event changed your perspective on any issues? If so, which issues and how?

This conference has given me more of a perspective of what God is doing in the lives of His people around the country. He is raising up a remnant of believers who is willing to follow Him at all costs. By His grace, they will bear fruit for His glory in the decades to come.

What are three things that you hope attendees will take away from this event?

We pray that attendees will will know how to more faithfully apply God’s Word to their real-life struggles, realize that God’s grace and strength is sufficient for every step of the way, and know that they are not alone in their Christian journey!

What other resources do you recommend for homeschool moms and daughters to explore?

If your daughter is entering those critical teenage years and facing pressure or discouragement, then check out “The King’s Blooming Rose” Magazine at www.kingsbloomingrose.com. KBR brings together a sweet group of girls who desire to live for the Lord, and each issue is filled with articles by girls sharing what the Lord is teaching them.

If you would like to listen to speaker sessions from last year’s Joyful Daughters conference, they are available at http://www.kbrconference.com/2015-conference.

KBR Ministries also just published a lunch cookbook for busy homeschool families. It contains simple and delicious step-by-step recipes that girls can put together while Mom is busy homeschooling. It will soon be available on our website, www.kingsbloomingrose.com – or grab a copy at the Joyful Daughters conference!

Thanks so much, Sarah Bryant!
