Transition time at MPE

Transition is defined as movement, passage, or change from one position, state, stage, subject, concept, etc., to another; change. It is the word of the season for MPE.

Let me explain.

Newsletter Transition

Our June/July newsletter is being compiled and laid out by Katie Ward and Maci Yarsulik. Katie has been leading the MPE publications efforts for the past 9 years. It has been amazing to see how Katie has improved the MPE publications, the newsletter, the conference brochure and most recently the Women’s Encouragement Day brochure.

Katie has been very faithful over the years. She is a wonderful, gifted and godly young lady. She is moving on to a full-time position with the Colorado State Homeschool organization, CHEC.

Maci Yarsulik will be phasing into Katie’s position over the summer. I am excited to see how Maci will continue to build on what Katie has developed. Maci is a mom expecting her second child in August. Please welcome her.

Office Transition

A 15-year veteran of the MPE office will be moving into more full-time grandmothering.

Mei has been the glue holding so many MPE things together. Mei has been such a valuable resource knowing the history of MPE and helping us move forward.

She has a very generous spirit and has loved supporting homeschool moms. She was always ready to listen and to pray.

Mei is a very beloved member of the homeschool community and will be missed due to the person she is and all the contributions she has made.

Coming in to fill her shoes is Christy Jolly. A veteran homeschool mom of 3, Christy has been serving on the MPE conference committee. She began working with Mei on May 1.

They will be working together to streamline Christy’s learning curve.

If something slips through the cracks over the next several weeks, please forgive us, be patient and try again. Please receive Christy with open arms. I’m sure she will be a blessing also.
