Celebrate the Class of 2026!

MPE’s ceremony is designed as a public display of the gratitude of the graduates and their parents for being given the privilege of homeschooling. It is also to demonstrate the thankfulness of the graduates for their parents, as well as other relatives and friends, who were used by God to shape the lives and character of those graduates for future service to the Master.

When: Friday, May 8, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.

Where: College Church of the Nazarene at 2020 E Sheridan St, Olathe, KS 66062

Monthly Meetings: Each graduate helps shape the ceremony by participating in a committee. The class has meetings on the second Monday of each month (September through November, January through April). Meetings are at Garrett Chapel, College Church of the Nazarene, 2020 E Sheridan St., Olathe, KS 66062. All meetings are led by the MPE Graduation Coordinator and the MPE Board Graduation Chair.

Requirements: There are specific requirements for eligibility, committee participation, and standards to follow in order to participate. These requirements are explained in full in the contract. They will also be explained in full at the September graduation meeting.

Payment: The Graduation fee is $200 and is due by the November meeting (after this meeting the fee increases to $225). This fee covers the cap and gown, diploma, decorations, refreshments, professional photography (group), and supplies for the Ceremony.

Contract and payment are due at the November meeting (e.g. Nov. 10, 2025).  No refunds will be issued after the November meeting.

 

Ready to sign-up and be put on the seniors communications list?  Here’s the process:

  1. Review the Committee descriptions below.
  2. Fill out the Official Sign-up Form (below.) This Sign-Up form is mandatory, even if you’re not ready to commit yet. If you decide not to participate, your information will be deleted. You aren’t fully committed until the Sign-Up form is completed, the Contract is signed, and fees paid.
  3. Sign the 2026 Graduation Contract and pay the $200 Graduation Fee (increases to $225 after the November meeting).
  4. Plan to attend the graduation meetings at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of each month (September through November, January through April). Meetings are at Garrett Chapel, College Church of the Nazarene, 2020 E Sheridan St., Olathe, KS 66062.

Graduation Committee Descriptions

Audio/ Visual

The Audio/Visual Committee records the parent blessings and prepares the slide show for graduation.

Caps and Gowns

The Caps and Gowns committee will gather the order information, find the best price for the class, place the order and then distribute the Caps and Gowns to the class.

Conference Display

The Conference Display committee will prepare a display board with Senior portraits to be displayed during the Conference.

Decorations

The Decorations committee will design the theme, purchase materials, organize Senior displays, and decorate the reception hall.

Diploma

The Diploma Committee will collect information from class members, research the best price, place an order, and help parents sign the diplomas.

Flowers

The Flower Committee will design and find the best price for the mother’s bouquet as well as the roses for graduation.

Music

The Music Committee will lead the class in deciding the Class Song and Class Hymn, find a choir director, and curate Class musicians for the live prelude before the Graduation Ceremony.

Photography

The Photography Committee will decide on a professional photographer and organize sign-ups for individual Cap and Gown pictures.

Program

The Program Committee will design the program cover, collect information from Seniors, and create a layout for the Program.

Refreshments

The Refreshment Committee will choose and purchase for the reception. May be paired with another committee.

Seating

The Seating Committee will determine seating arrangement at the graduation event for both seniors and reserved family seating. May be paired with another committee.

Senior Events

The Senior Events Committee will plan monthly socials for the Class as well as a possible Senior Banquet.

Social Media

The Social Media Committee will create digital media items to be considered for publication on MPE’s social media platforms (i.e. Senior Spotlight). May be paired with another committee.

T-Shirt

The T-Shirt committee will facilitate a vote on the design and order the Class T-Shirt. May be paired with another committeee.
