The past few years have financially hurt homeschool nonprofits in a number of ways. One key method to supplement our organization’s revenue comes through partnerships with homeschool affiliates, ministries and partners.

Please take a moment to look through all the opportunities and resources that the following affiliates and venues provide!

Non-Curriculum Affiliates

A Weekend To Remember

Take a two-and-a-half day romantic weekend to invest in and strengthen your marriage – no matter how firm or fragile.

In addition, use our affiliate link and this group code: MIDWESTPARENT for $100 off your registration: https://www.familylife.com/weekend-to-remember/?groupName=MidwestParent

BoxTops

Homeschoolers can benefit from this educational program, not just schools! Choose “Midwest Parent Educators Inc.” as your school to support, then download the Box Tops app on your phone. Shop as you would normally, then scan your receipts to find participating products (see a complete list).

If you shop online or don’t have physical receipts, then you can create a Box Tops account and forward online receipts to receipts@boxtops4education.com, using the same email address for your Box Tops account. Uploading receipts must be completed within 2 weeks of purchase.

Classic Learning Test (CLT)

The Classic Learning Test (CLT) provides a suite of assessments for grades 3 – 12 to cover diagnostic, end-of-year, college prep, and college entrance exams. The exams are only about 2 hours long and can be taken at home and online. Each exam uses curriculum-neutral content and includes in-depth student analytics. The high school exams (the CLT10 and CLT) open up unique awards and scholarship opportunities and have been formally adopted at more than 250 colleges as a viable alternative to taking the SAT/ACT. (HSLDA’s Patrick Henry College is one of them.)

CLT offers eight exams:

  • CLT – college entrance exam for 11th-12th graders
  • CLT10 – college prep exam for 9th-10th graders offering scholarships and recognition
  • CLT8 – highschool readiness exam for 7th-8th graders
  • CLT3-7 – end-of-year diagnostic exams for grades 3 through 7

We’ve partnered with CLT to offer in-group, discounted testing opportunities to homeschool families. Our unique discount code is MIDWEST and offers your families 25% off any of the exams.

Goodsearch & GoodShop

If you use online searches a lot, then you may want to check out Goodsearch, a Yahoo-powered search engine that donates a penny per search to your favorite cause. Just make sure you’ve chosen Midwest Parent Educators (MPE) as your charity to support, and you can also start searching. Each search will make a donation to MPE at no extra cost to you!

When you use coupons and buy online through Goodshop, the site makes a donation to the nonprofit or school of your choice for almost every purchase made.

HSLDA Online Academy

Use our promo code ACMIDPE whenever you register for HSLDA Online Academy’s live, interactive online courses for grades 7-12. You’ll get $30 off your total Academy order, and we get a kickback – a win-win for everyone!

In addition, you can also receive a discount off your annual HSLDA membership when you join MPE as a member at the Family Tier or higher.

NextDoor

By using the “Sell for Good” program on the popular neighborhood social network, Nextdoor, you can support a local nonprofit (we’re listed as Midwest Parent Educators). Before selling items, you can decide what portion of your sales go to the charity of your choice (more info here).

Finally…

We appreciate your prayers for MPE during this season. Please consider a financial gift to our organization to keep us viable for homeschool families.

In addition, tax-deductible donations may be made via our website, or you are welcome to mail a check to P.O. Box 14391, Lenexa, KS 66285.
