Business Field Trip: School Of Economics

School of Economics Market is a hands-on business field trip for students in grades 3-8 where they operate their own economy and experience the demands that businesses encounter. The students put the skills and knowledge they have learned in school into action in a facsimile of the real-world work environment. Click here to watch a video of our program.

School of Economics is a two-day field trip.

1. Preparation day: Students will work with their assigned teams to make decisions on their products and design a marketing strategy. February 21, 2025, 2pm to 4pm (1 pm to 4 pm for parent volunteers) in KC, MO.
2. School of Economics Business Day is March 5, 2025, 10 am to 2 pm at the School of Economics facility at 200 NW 14th St, Blue Springs, MO 64015. Please plan to arrive no later than 9:45 am (9:30 for parent volunteers).

Parent Involvement:

• 12 to 15 Volunteer adults are needed at the event (MPE membership and background check is required.)
• Parental attendance is required for Preparation Day.
• Parents who are not volunteering may drop their students off at the School of Economics on March 5.
