PossAbilities pediatric therapy was launched in 2003 with the mission to partner with parents and professionals to provide quality therapy services in the KC metro area.

In 2018, we saw further fulfillment of our goals to partner with other professionals as we joined with Children’s Therapy Group, with its stellar reputation and experienced staff. PossAbilities Children’s Therapy Group continues to grow and strengthen as a team providing individual and group pediatric therapy, speech/ language and motor screenings in preschools and professional training.

Mike and Deana founded Pediatric Connections in 2014 with the overarching vision of providing a more effective and compassionate approach to assist children and their families in achieving success and making strides in their daily lives. Deana’s background includes extensive experience serving in multiple school districts, often managing substantial caseloads. Motivated by her specialized training in reflex integration and a deep-seated desire to empower parents with knowledge about nervous system development, she and Mike felt the Lord’s calling to establish their own clinic. This initiative was driven by the belief that they could better cater to the unique needs of students who were facing academic and developmental challenges.

Initially, they began their journey in a modest 1,100 square foot space located at the end of a strip mall. However, the clinic’s positive impact and growing reputation led to rapid expansion. As the team grew and the demand for their services increased, they quickly outgrew that initial location.

A significant turning point occurred in 2017 when they discovered their current, larger facility, situated just a few blocks away. They then purchased the 5,000 square foot building, which allowed them to expand their team, adding more Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs).

Since then, they have consistently pursued growth, exploring new locations and expanding their reach to address the needs of the broader community. In 2023, Mike made the decision to join Deana full-time at the clinic, resigning from his corporate position to provide comprehensive support and contribute to the clinic’s continued growth in numerous impactful ways.
