How To Homeschool Workshop

Our free “How To Homeschool” workshop will be 10-11 a.m. Aug. 19 at the Grandview branch of the Mid-Continent Public Library, 12930 Booth Lane, Grandview, MO 64030.

The workshop will include discussions on the following:

How to Homeschool: Beginning the Journey

Beginning any endeavor well is a key to long-term success. We’ll help you set expectations, meet legal requirements, tailor curriculum, and choose philosophies for your unique family. You will leave with resources and confidence to begin or continue your homeschool journey.

Laws, Testing, and Grading

Understanding and fulfilling homeschool law in Kansas and Missouri can seem overwhelming. We will learn how to implement the laws into your daily schedule as a busy homeschool mom and help to keep you organized in the process.

Teaching Multiple Grades

Are you overwhelmed with the idea of teaching multiple kids, with different ages and learning styles?  Have no fear!  We will give you some tips and strategies on how to have a successful homeschooling day, as well as meet the unique needs of each of your children.

  • Hi Whitney,

The workshop is open and available to everyone, so no need to sign up. However, if you want to take advantage of the discounted dinner option, then please sign up in advance so that we know how many dinners to prepare. We can’t guarantee that there will be enough meals for everyone if they come to order on site.

    Hope this helps!

how do I enroll for the webinar?

    • Hi Katie,

Unfortunately the webinar was on Aug. 5, and we’re not planning to offer any more for the rest of the year.

We try to offer these homeschool workshops and webinars each summer, though – stay tuned for more updates!
