Goodsearch & Goodshop: More Ways To Help Homeschoolers

By November 27, 2023No Comments

Our nonprofit is on Goodsearch and Goodshop – two extra avenues to raise money for fellow homeschool families!

Goodsearch

If you use online searches a lot, Goodsearch is a Yahoo-powered search engine that donates a penny per search to your favorite cause.

Just make sure you’ve chosen Midwest Parent Educators (MPE) as your charity to support, and you can start searching – and activating donations!

Important Note: You can use GoodSearch on both desktop and mobile, but you need to log in for it to recognize your searches for a donation. On the desktop, most browsers will allow you to register GoodSearch as your default engine, but on mobile you may need to create a bookmark link.

Goodshop

When you use coupons and buy online through Goodshop, the site makes a donation to the nonprofit or school of your choice for almost every purchase made.

“When you shop with Goodshop you don’t just save. You also give, at no extra cost.”

Goodshop website, “About”

Because the site is connected with over 114,000 nonprofits and schools, the amount of money it’s raised over the years tops $13 million. Not bad for an idea started by two siblings!

Goodshop lists the most popular coupons to big-name stores such as Home Depot, Kohl’s, Macy’s, and Amazon.

However, you can also browse stores by category and alphabetical order.

They also feature different ways to save such as free shipping, sitewide deals, gift cards, in-store coupons, free samples, “Goodshop Exclusive” deals and more!

In addition, you can personalize your Goodshop account by listing your “Favorite” stores. This helps you receive notifications whenever new sales and coupons get posted.

We have updated this blog post, originally published in 2021, for timeliness and detail.
