Team Lead

Be the one who takes charge of a group of several kids, turning them into an organized team!

Security

Be the watchful eyes and ears of the children’s conference to help the kids know they are safe!

Team Assistant

Be the helping hands that make a team run smoothly as they go from activity to activity!

Floater

Be the hands and feet of the conference as you fulfill any need that arises!

Volunteer Descriptions

Learn More About How You’ll Serve

Team Lead

Team Leads help keep the conference organized and running smoothly.

  • Manage the team’s Sign-In/Sign-Out process and roster
  • Keep a regular count of the children throughout the day
  • Help with crafts, activities, and other team needs
  • Assist parents with security procedures in a professional way
  • Communicate any issues to their Section Leader

Supported by at least one Team Assistant, plus Section Leaders and Floaters.

Team Assistant

Team Assistants help children feel welcome and support the team throughout the day.

  • Welcome children and engage them in activities
  • Help with counting, moving the team, and leading activities
  • Report any problems to the Team Lead
  • Temporarily lead the team when the Team Lead is busy

Assigned to a team with a Team Lead.

Security

The Security team helps create a safe environment for children and volunteers.

  • Make sure only authorized adults (MPEK volunteers and parents of registered children) enter the event
  • Monitor all access points
  • Oversee that teams are properly using Sign-In/Sign-Out
  • Help maintain an accurate count of children

Work in shifts both days under the Head of Security.

Floater

Floaters support almost every part of the conference.

  • Take children to the bathroom as needed
  • Deliver supplies for crafts, activities, and Sign-In
  • Help run games, the obstacle course, and other activities
  • Guide families between registration and their teams
  • Fill in for other roles when needed

Assigned to a Section Lead and given tasks throughout the day.
