First Aid and CPR Class
Looking to get more experience through First Aid and CPR classes? These work well for American Heritage Girl groups, Trail Life groups, childcare providers & babysitters, and those who have experience in scouting!
Not only does this class include CPR, but also First Aid certification opportunities. Our trained instructor, Chris White, has 20 years of experience as a first responder, 12 years as an EMT instructor at KCKCC and 9 years as a certified AHA Instructor.
This is a great, affordable way to keep your First Aid & CPR training up to date and learn lifesaving skills by practicing in a group of fellow homeschoolers!

Is there a group discount available?
We make every effort to make these classes as affordable as possible, especially as homeschooling families may have several children interested in this class. Certification cards are purchased for a set price from the American Heart Association and cannot be provided at a discount.
MPE members who wish to sign up 3 or more participants can contact our office to see about getting a preregistered discount on a case-by-case basis. If families cannot afford MPE membership, they are welcome to fill out a scholarship application through contacting our office.
By registering with MPE, you allow us to pay for our use of staff time and donate to Journey Bible Church for its generosity in allowing us to use its facilities. Thanks so much for continuing to fund events and opportunities like these to serve the KC-area homeschool community!
Overheard:
- I love that you’re doing this! I learned CPR from a babysitting class. My first lip-to-lip with a male was doing CPR on an unconscious man on a cruise ship at age 16.
He lived! You never know when a basic class like this makes the difference between life and death! ~Melissa Campbell on Facebook
- “The class was well managed and catered toward inexperienced people. Very easy to relate to the material and apply it during learning. Class size was great, it kept enough time for questions.” ~Christian Sosebee
I’m interested in this event. When will the next one be scheduled?
We don’t know of any plans to schedule another one at this time.
If we did, it would probably be until late summer or fall 2025, according to our office manager.
