Enter the First Annual MPE Homeschool Student Creative Arts Showcase

The 2026 Homeschool Student Creative Arts Showcase celebrates creativity, effort, and artistic growth among homeschool students ages 12 and older. All artwork will be displayed publicly during the conference.

Categories

Drawing

Examples: Pencil, charcoal, pen & ink, pastel

  • Must be original (no tracing or copying copyrighted images).
  • Mounted or matted for display (no loose paper).
  • Size limit: 18” x 24” including matting.

Painting

Examples: Acrylic, watercolor, oil, gouache

  • Must be painted on canvas, board, or thick paper
  • Original composition — no paint-by-number or fan art
  • Must be dry and ready for display (framed or matted)

Photography

Examples: Digital or film photography, black & white or color

  • Printed on photo-quality paper
  • Edited work must list editing tools used (if any)
  • Size limit: 11” x 14” mounted

Digital Art

Examples: Illustration, graphic design, digital collage

  • Created using digital tools (No AI tools should be used in the creation of the art)
  • Printed and mounted for display
  • Must include a short 2–3 sentence artist statement explaining your process.

3D Art/Sculpture

Examples: Clay, wood, metal, wire, papier-mâché, mixed media

  • Must be stable and self-supporting
  • Size limit: 24” tall x 18” wide
  • No fragile or hazardous materials (e.g., glass shards)

Textile / Mixed Media

Examples: Fabric art, collage, fiber, recycles materials

  • Must include at least two different materials or media
  • Should be mounted or displayed neatly on a board, hanger, or stand.

Details

  • Participation in the 2026 Homeschool Student Creative Arts Showcase is FREE, but membership is required for conference admission
  • Entry deadline is February 27, 2026
  • Students may submit two entries per category
  • Artwork should be original and appropriate for all ages
  • Works should reflect respect for others and positive creativity
  • Artwork containing offensive content will not be accepted
  • Deliver and set up artwork Thursday, March 5 3pm to 6pm or Friday, March 6 by 12pm
  • Pick up your artwork by 3pm on Saturday
  • Sign the Liability Waiver and Consent at the bottom of the entry form

Art Hanging Requirements

Submissions for the Art Showcase have closed. Check back next year for another opportunity. Don't forget to stop by and take a look at the artwork on display in the Community Space at the conference.
