GalaBid Auction Platform

This year, we’re hosting our silent auction on the free online platform GalaBid for several reasons:

  • It enables us to reach a wider audience.
  • The program’s active tracking of bids in real-time takes off much of the administrative pressure and workload for our volunteers.
  • You can invite your extended family and friends – no need to be physically at the conference to participate!
  • If you win an auction item, GalaBid will automatically sign you up to pay a gratuity that goes to funding their platform. If you do not wish to pay this gratuity, you must opt-out by unchecking the gratuity option.

The more people who are set up to begin with, the more successful the auction will be.

All proceeds raised directly benefit our organization’s outreach and support of families within the homeschooling community.

For example, donations allow us to host events such as the annual Women’s Encouragement Day and Used Curriculum Sale. We can also use them to provide scholarships to low-income and single-parent families.

In addition to providing free resources and educational assistance to parents, we also support CHECK, a Kansas state homeschool organization that furthers the interests of private home education by advocating for home education in Topeka.

In conclusion, you can get fantastic bargains, support local businesses AND put your money toward a good cause … what’s not to like?

Our conference silent auction's history

Our first silent auction started at the 2019 homeschool conference, and it was an instant success.

Bidders enjoyed a wide array of offerings and baskets – date nights, spa days, field trip outings, photography sessions, and weekend getaways!

It was great! Loved the great variety in auction items.

Love the coffee & spa day options!

LOVED IT! We bid on several items & won 2. It was great to bid on things we already know we'll spend money on. Knowing it benefits MPE, we were willing to bid on several items, including the big ticket items.
